I created Unshakeable Custom Homes simply because I enjoy the home building process. Seeing a vision in a clients head slowly take shape through the design and pre-construction phase and further into the physical building stages is immensely rewarding.
I believe that our core values of communication, collaboration, quality and trust elevate not only the relationship aspect of building a custom home, but also increases the quality and standards of the final product. I aim to be the contractor clients don't hesitate to recommend.
I'm a firm believer that quality does not have to mean more expensive. No matter the project or budget, our construction standards don't change. I not only want a project to look good, I want it to last a long time.
Years ago, my grandfather said something along the lines of, "a job well planned, is a job half done." I'm frequently reminding myself that planning and thoughtfulness go a long way in a well-executed project. Bringing those concepts into any project, large or small, ensures that project moving smoothly from beginning to end, while maintaining budget and client satisfaction. The Walnut House is a testament to natural light and open spaces. The main windows in the great room face east and south to maximize the natural light and to ensure passive heating, even on overcast days. The roof was engineered to maximize air flow and insulated to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
The modern, open design ensures the client feels immersed in the surrounding mountainscape. The homeowner wanted a space to enjoy while they drank their coffee and got ready for the day. The first thing you see in the morning is the sunrise and the surrounding aspen grove.
While it may have been more challenging to work around the trees and hills during the building process, the Walnut House is a statement of thoughtful design coupled with modern architecture, and shows the potential of a piece of raw land in the right hands.
